On graduating from Dun Laoghaire art college in the dark days of 1988, Shane ran away to Australia, spending five years there honing
He worked on Microsoft’s first TV campaign, won his first of many awards and conducted extensive experiments to determine the limits of his pale skin’s ability to take the Aussie sun.
Returning to Ireland he joined Owens DDB, arguably Ireland’s most creative agency at the time, staying there for 9 years. His clients there included Carlsberg, Volkswagen, McDonalds, o2, Digifone, Aer Lingus, Esso, Cadbury, and Bord Failte.
As a freelancer he has worked for
most of Dublin’s agencies and as far away as Trinidad. He’s recently discovered teaching, surfing, and sunscreen, but mostly he still just likes making good ads.
